The post holder will follow the processes and systems that provide an effective and efficient prisoner canteen. In doing so, particular attention should be paid to the strict timescales that are essential to the service.
Responsibilities
Deliver an effective and efficient canteen (bag and tag) service in accordance to the agreed timescales.
To assist in providing assurance to management that all processes and systems are completed in accordance with appropriate Operational Delivery Systems.
Work in conjunction with the Finance function to ensure continued services throughout the year.
Assist in maintaining an effective and efficient stock management system that ensures prisoner requests are met whilst meeting the requirements of Finance and Audit.
Person Specification

Qualifications Requirements
Minimum of 2 Standard Grades including English and Mathematics at grade 3 or above or equivalent or relevant experience - ESSENTIAL.
Full driving licence that enables the person to drive in the UK, however SPS is willing to consider proposals put forward by applicants to carry out the duties by any other means or can self-fund themselves to attaining a driving licence within 12 months of taking up the post - ESSENTIAL.
Experience Requirements
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages including Excel, word, outlook etc - ESSENTIAL.
A willingness to obtain or be in possession of appropriate forklift and other relative equipment training - ESSENTIAL.
Knowledge Skills Requirements
Ability to prioritise workload to meet strict timescales and the operational requirements of HMP Low Moss - ESSENTIAL.
Sound Knowledge and experience of Stock Control, along with good numeracy skills - ESSENTIAL.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team - ESSENTIAL.
