Prisoner Services Assistant
The post holder will provide an effective and efficient shopping and sundry provision service to the prisoner population within strict deadlines. They will accurately collate and process individual orders, via the bag and tag operation and deliver the orders within the prison. The post holder will be required to assist and/or cover for the Store Person, as directed by management. This is a physically demanding role and manual duties will be required.
Deliver an effective and efficient internal shopping service timeously by accurately picking, scanning and packing individual provision orders.
Contribute towards an effective stock management system (weekly/monthly physical stock checks) by reconciling stock reports and interrogating any discrepancies when they are identified.
To accurately process prisoner individual orders through the computerised till system (EPOS) ensuring compliance with SPS Policies and Audit Processes
Delivery of goods involving the driving of a Luton van, and the loading and offloading of goods to the prisoner accommodation areas.
Receive, check and store weekly stock delivery.
To multi-task and provide a supporting role throughout the establishment as directed by the First Line Manager to ensure deadlines are met within the Finance & Admin Function.

Minimum of two National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications, including English and Mathematics or Arithmetic or relevant experience gained in a similar role and/or environment. ESSENTIAL

Competent in the use of all Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Excel. ESSENTIAL
Experience and ability to prioritise workloads to meet departmental and organisational deadlines. ESSENTIAL

Ability to work individually and as part of a team. ESSENTIAL
Ability to drive a Luton van. Clean driving licence. ESSENTIAL
