The post holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of prisoners handed in cash on the Prisoner Records Database (PR2). The post holder will also administer the remand visit booking process and respond with accurate information to written enquiries from external agencies.

 

Responsibilities
To accurately record visits for remand prisoners booked via the visit line.
To accurately process financial data on the Prisoner Records (PR2) system.
Maintain the secure management of paper/electronic files held within department, ensuring the secure transit of files to internal and external agencies.
Assist in any other duties as directed by Management.

Qualifications Requirements
A minimum of 2 Standard Grades at Grade 3 or above (including English and Maths/Arithmetic) or equivalent or relevant experience. (Essential)
Experience Requirements
Competent and experienced in all aspects of administration. (Essential)
Experience of maintaining computerised records/databases and reporting on this information. (Essential)
Previous cash handling experience. (Desirable)
Knowledge Skills Requirements
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral. (Essential)
Competent in the use of computerised systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). (Essential) 
Ability to effectively prioritise workload to meet departmental and organisational deadlines. (Essential) 
Awareness of the Data Protection Act and the requirement for confidentiality in line with SPS guidelines. (Essential)
