The post holder will provide an effective and efficient shopping and sundry provision service to prisoner population with HMP Inverness. Collating, processing and delivering of goods and stores across the prison. This is a physically demanding role and manual handling duties will be required.
Responsibilities
Collating, processing and delivering an effective and efficient internal shopping service to all prisoners, adhering to strict timelines by picking, scanning and packing individual orders.
Contribute towards an effective stock management system through daily reconciling of stock reports and identifying any
anomalies, weekly/monthly stock takes, maintaining stock levels within prisoner canteen area.
Maintaining stock levels of stores warehouse and deliver to required areas within the prison. Manual Handling duties required.
Process prisoner canteen, wages, PPC and pin phone transactions through appropriate SPS systems.
Provide general administrative duties such as answering the telephone, filing, processing invoices, data input, recording and distribution of mail.
As part of a multi-functional team, you will be required to carry out tasks and provide relief cover as requested by Office Manager.

Qualifications Requirements

Minimum of 2 Standard Grades (at Grade 3 or above) including English and Mathematics/Arithmetic or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience.

Sound knowledge and experience of maintaining stock control, including experience of manual handling duties or willingness to learn.

Competent and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Experience in all aspects of general administrative duties – such as answering of telephones, filing, processing of invoices, input of data etc.
