Asset Maintenance Manager
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) operates in a fascinating, complex and rapidly changing environment, which has seen significant investment in development over recent years. Our Vision is to help build a safer Scotland by unlocking potential and transforming lives. To enable us to successfully deliver our Vision, we employ a dedicated team of professionals to design, repair and maintain, buildings and systems across our varied Estate. Since 2002 new prisons have been developed at Edinburgh, Polmont, Shotts, Glenochil, Low Moss, Perth and Grampian. A future programme to replace the majority of the remainder of the male Victorian Estate and the Women’s Estate is being progressed.
As Estates Asset Development Manager, you will provide SPS with specialist expertise in Estates Asset Management to meet current and future demands and will pro-actively manage Estates assets to the satisfaction of the Maintenance & Contracts Manager. You will provide a high quality, responsive, professional support service, ensuring service delivery meets the standards agreed within Service Level Agreements.
The Estates Asset Development Manager will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and effective management of the SPS Asset Management Strategy, and convert this into a practical and workable Asset Management Plan.
SPS recruitment and selection practice is based on the fundamentals of our Behavioural Competency Framework. This identifies behaviours and standards required both of applicants seeking to join us, and our staff in their respective roles. Assessment of specific behaviours, of which there are twelve, will be determined by the role you are applying for. Whilst it is unlikely you will be assessed on all of them , you will be assessed on these identified as key to role.
