Learning and Development Manager - Inverness
In the role of Learning and Development Manager you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a purposeful learning environment in the Scottish Prison Service (SPS). With the introduction of professional qualifications and the SPS College becoming a credit rating body you will work to new standards, including CPD requirements, and will be responsible for creating and maintaining a purposeful learning environment.
You will provide and support the delivery of training products, individual tutorials, group workshops and staff CPD activities. You will support the design of teaching and assessment materials, monitor student progress, provide learning support, and ensure the continued alignment of teaching to professional practice in a range of areas. You will support the Theme Leads in ensuring all training delivery contributes to the overall organisational capability for the Scottish Prison Service.
You may have direct or indirect line management responsibility for Learning and Development staff.
The hours required in role will be predominantly normal office hours, however you may be required to work evenings/weekends in the delivery of training, according to business need.
Within role, travel may be required to other establishments and the SPS College in Falkirk, Central Scotland.

Evidence of academic attainment at SCQF Level 6 (Higher level or equivalent), or above and be willing to undertake a relevant learning and development qualification at SCQF level 9 within the role, achieving this within approximately 18 months of taking up the position.
