Provide an effective and efficient Procurement service by sourcing, costing and procuring goods and services within the
parameters of the SPS Procurement Policy and the Service Agreement between establishment and HQ. Be responsible for the completion of all routine information, documentation and communications relevant to the post holder’s role is delivered to local and national standards and timescales including month and year end routine such as accruals, prepayments and stock counts of all prison related stores as required.
Responsibilities
Work closely with colleagues and internal customers to define the specification and requirements of goods and services
which will meet the needs of the establishment.
Respond to and follow up Procurement specific enquiries sensitively, timeously and efficiently, ensuring an excellent
customer service provision is offered at all times working within the parameters of the relevant policies and legislation.
Check and ensure that all manual requisition forms are signed by the requesting officer and the relevant budget holder, and
are within the budget holder’s current financial limits.
Ensure the accuracy of invoices received. Prepare the invoices for payment by registering on the SPS Agresso system.
Provide an effective and efficientadministration service, ensuring electronic and paper based communications and
documentation are actioned and stored appropriately in accordance with Audit and SPS policy requirements.
Co-ordinate and assist in specific projects and contracts as directed by the Procurement Manager.

Qualifications Requirements
5 Standard Grades (including English and Mathematics/Arithmetic) at level 3 or above or equivalent or relevant administration experience.
Experience Requirements

Experience of working within a Finance Function

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook etc
