The Post holder will provide administration relief within HMP Shotts – mainly Cashier, Prison Funds, Criminal desk and Wages desk - ensuring that all policies, procedures and directives are adhered to.
Responsibilities
Process Prisoners Personal Cash & Canteen transactions on Agresso Finance System and balance with Prisoner Records System daily.
Accurately interpret, validate and process all warrants and accompanying documentation (via paper and SPS Prisoner Records System PR2) in accordance with legislation and SPS requirements.
Organise documents required for prisoner transfers/release.
Pay prisoner’s wages on PR2, bulk pin phone upload on SPOT system and balance canteen reconciliation on a weekly basis. Provide weekly canteens sheets and deduct prisoner accounts as appropriate.

Qualifications Requirements
Five National 5 qualifications, including English and Maths/Arithmetic or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience - Essential
Experience Requirements
Competent and experienced in all aspects of administration. ESSENTIAL
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook etc. – Essential
Experience of cash handling - Desirable
Knowledge Skills Requirements

Well-developed communication skills both written and oral.
