You will contribute to the overall HR Team's delivery, operations and more general HR decision-making within HMP & YOI Polmont by providing a comprehensive administration service. 
Responsibilities
To collate and record absence management data and information and issue all necessary absence management paperwork.
To monitor and record the application of all HR policies and procedures and deal with general HR related enquiries from managers and staff in a timely and sensitive manner.  
To provide HR related reports to the greater HR Team, and senior management teams as required.
To provide an effective and efficient administration service ensuring electronic and paper based communication and documentation are actioned apropriately in accordance with the Government Protective Marking System (GPMS) and Data Protection Legislation.  
Person Specification

Qualifications Requirements
Two Standard Grades at Grade 3 or above (including English & Maths/Arithmetic) or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience. (Essential).
Experience Requirements
Previously worked within an HR environment in a similar role (Desirable).
Achieved the CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice, or willing to work towards. (Desirable).
Knowledge Skills Requirements
Well-developed communication skills at all organisational levels, across a range of media. (Essential).
Flexible and adaptable approach to work with the ability to effectively prioritise workload to meet departmental and organisational deadlines. (Essential).
Competent and experienced in the use of  Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. (Essential).
Effective decision-making skills and the ability to analyse, interpret and report on a range of information. (Essential).
