The post holder will provide an effective and efficient shopping and sundry provision service to the prisoner population within strict deadlines. They will accurately collate and process individual orders and deliver the orders within
the prison. This is a physically demanding role and manual handling duties will be required.
Responsibilities
Deliver an effective and efficient internal shopping service timeously by accurately picking, scanning and packing individual provision orders.
Contribute towards an effective stock management system (weekly/ monthly physical stock checks) by reconciling stock reports and interrogating any discrepancies when they are identified.
Deliver shopping and sundry items to prisoners’ accommodation areas
Process prisoner shop order sheets through the computerised records software (EPOS system).
Collect Newspaper/Magazines from front of house and deliver to the prisoner accommodation areas.
Receive, check and store weekly stock delivery.

Qualifications Requirements

A minimum of 2 Standard   Grades, including English and Mathematics, at Grade 3 or above or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience

Sound knowledge and experience of stock control and delivery

Competent in the use of Microsoft Packages, including Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
